Our destiny: Coquimbo. We left our house at 12
am. I was very excited because this was the first time we do something like this
without any planification. My parents always make reservations for a room in La
Herradura’s shore. This was new for all of us, but it think that was the magic
of the experience.
On the way to the 4th region, we
were the only ones traveling at that hour. The soul CD that my father put on
the radio made the atmosphere more comfortable while me and my mother were
talking about the things we should do when we arrive. It has been four hours since
we started our journey when something unexpected happened. We were near Los
Vilos when we stop in the middle of the highway because of a truckers protest.
There, we spend more than seven hours trying to move from there.
After so much waiting, we finally reached
Coquimbo. This photograph was taken when I got out of the car, the sun was just
hiding in the hills. I like it because it reminds me of everything that we live
in that place, it was worth, they were my best vacations.
Contrary to what most think, I love the route between La Ligua –cakes! <3– and La Serena/Coquimbo. See the transversal valleys, windmills and the sea in one only view is so wonderful!
