This semester I decided to return to my scientific side, so
I joined the science journalism class. The subject is “Communication, science
and society”, I have learned many interesting things about science, and how
that information can be transfer to society.
The important thing is that helps you to know what are the
policies that the country with respect to advances both scientific and
technological. Among the policies that I learned, Genetically modified food is so interesting. Are foods produced from organisms that have had changes introduced into their DNA using the methods of genetic engineering. Genetic engineering techniques allow for the introduction of new traits as well as greater control over traits than previous methods such as selective breeding and mutation breeding.
within the activities to investigate Genetically modified food, we went to a laboratory of molecular genetics, where we can discussed the labeled products and the large number of transgenic seeds that are exporting Chile, such as soy that is one hundred percent transgenic.

Hooray for elective subjects!!! It's interesting that two issues that seem so differents like journalism and science can complement so well
ResponderBorraris interesting that we can use our job to inform the people about the scientific advances that help us. Maybe I can learn about this things in the next semester. Regards
ResponderBorrarI feel happy about your experiencie in that class. I think that journalism help to understand anything in the world haha at least, this must be his mission.
